There are various temporary visas which have work rights:
- Business Visitor Visas:allowing stay of up to 3 months to conduct business activities in Australia, but with limited work rights.

- Business (Short Stay) Visa - subclass 456 Sponsored
- Business Visitor (Short Stay) Visa - subclass 459
- Holiday/Work Visa:allowing stay of up to 12 months where the primary purpose is to visit Australia for tourism, with incidental work.
- Working Holiday Visa - subclass 417
- Work and Holiday Visa - subclass 462
- Special Programme Visa - subclass 416
- Training/Work Visas: allowing travel to Australia to undertake a specific work-based training course nominated by an Australian organisation.
- Occupational Trainee Visa - subclass 442
- Professional Development Visa - subclass 470
- Business Long Stay Visa - subclass 457: allowing stay of between 3 months and 4 years, generally where the applicant is sponsored by a business to fill a specific position in Australia, click here.
Applicants who have worked full time in their nominated occupation for a minimum of 2 years on 457 visa may be eligible to apply for a permanent visa subclass 856. There are various criteria you have to meet for 856 visa. - Other Specialist Work Visas: covering specialised circumstances, eg. sport, the education sector, religious organisations and exchanges.
